Salmon Feed Rangen Inc. has been in the business of producing aquaculture feeds for over 50 years. Through the use of competent nutritionists, researchers, a laboratory and hatchery test facilities, ongoing diet development is a way of life. The diets listed below have been formulated to meet the needs of first feeding fry to harvest size under a variety of rearing conditions. All diets are fortified with special antioxidants to insure freshness, but feeds should be stored in suitable conditions and fed within 90 days for best results.
STARTER DIET. A dry diet specially formulated for first feeding fry and fingerling. The first two sizes, manufactured with extrusion technology, are nearly free of dust and fines, which can be detrimental to small fish. This high protein diet utilizes quality fish and animal products, marine oils, and higher than normal vitamin supplementation that includes stabilized vitamin C. rangen045.gif
SALMON GROWER (Crumbles). Sinking dry crumbles are a transition feed from the starter to pellets. This nutritionally complete and balanced diet incorporates quality fish and animal products as the main components. Vitamin supplementation is supplied from multiple premix sources to ensure vitamin requirements are met under a variety of culture conditions.

SALMON PRODUCTION (Pellets). This diet is a sinking, dry diet manufactured by conventional steam processing and has been externally sprayed with marine oil t increase both caloric level and palatability. This diet is suitable for fish from an average size of about 15 grams to 900 grams or more.

EXTR 440 and 470 (Pellets). These diets are extruded, dry formulations for highly efficient growth. The extrusion process results in a diet, which is more efficient, has fewer fines, and produces less pond waste while producing better fish growth than conventional pellet diets. Extra vitamins and stabilized vitamin C are standard.

HIGH FAT DIETS (Pellets). High fat diets are becoming more popular since they increase fish growth and at the same time lessen effluent pollution. These extruded diets also have the advantage of improved feed conversion and less fines in the finished feed.

LOW PHOSPHORUS DIETS. Low phosphorus diets are essential in situations where the amount of phosphorus discharge is restricted. These extruded feeds produce excellent growth and still meet the phosphorus requirement of the fish. The extrusion technology also improves the feed conversion and reduces the amount of settle able and soluble wastes in the water.

SALMON BROODSTOCK DIET. This diet is formulated with especially high quality ingredients and extra vitamins and antioxidants as well as several unique ingredients proven to aide in the well being of brood fish and viable egg production. Extrusion manufacturing technology allows this diet to either be sinking or floating.
MEDICATED FEEDS. This medicated feed is formulated with high quality proteins and lipid to contribute to added palatability and increased digestibility at a time when the fish are not feeding readily. Ox tetracycline at 4000 and 8000 gms/ton and Romet-30 at 1.67% are available.
SOFT MOIST DIETS. This diet offers not only soft texture, but a high degree of palatability as well as improved nutrient quality which results in high weight gain, excellent food conversion, and improved survival. The feed can be stored without refrigeration providing added cost saving and feeding convenience.
